(E.K.) McColl,

(Retired)
29 year member of
the RCMP whose
career has taken her
from across the
country on six
occasions.
Originally from
Chemainus ,B.C. her
first posting was
Toronto. Returning
to BC she went
through the ranks in
a variety of uniform
and non uniform
positions including
being a watch
commander as a Staff
Sergeant. She
was Commissioned in
Ottawa as the
Officer in Charge of
Operational Policy
in 2002 responsible
for municipal and
provincial
operational policy
focusing on high
risk areas to
prevent death or
injury, reduce
liability or
criticism. Returning
to BC as the
Assistant Operations
Officer- Lower
Mainland District
her responsibilities
included service
integration, human
resource management,
emergency
mobilization and
regionalization. She
returned to Ottawa
promotionally in
2005 as the OIC
National Child
Exploitation
Coordination Centre.
The NCECC is a
national, integrated
environment for the
strategic
development and
tactical
implementation of
Canada’s National
Strategy against
internet facilitated
child sexual
exploitation. The
NCECC influences
public policy and
legislation and
provides training,
technology and
intelligence to all
Canadian law
enforcement. Supt.
McColl was the
national
/international
spokesperson for the
RCMP on Internet
facilitated child
sexual exploitation.
Superintendent
McColl retired in
2009 and moved to
the GTA when her
husband Bob Hagymasy
accepted the
position of Vice
President – Nuclear
Security at Ontario
Power Generation.
Superintendent
McColl continues to
lecture on the
reality of
investigating child
sexual exploitation
in Canada.
