Lieutenant-Colonel
Newton
was born
in
Toronto
in 1960.
She
graduated
Ecole
Secondaire
Etienne
Brule in
1978,
and went
on to
complete
her
degree
in
Business
Management
at
Ryerson
University.
Born to
Quebec
parents,
she is
fully
bilingual.
For
twenty-six
years,
Lieutenant-Colonel
Newton
has been
a member
of the
Toronto
Police
Service
currently
holding
the rank
of
Sergeant.
within
Corporate
Planning.
In 1977,
Lieutenant
Colonel
Newton
began
her
military
career
as an
administrative
clerk
with the
48
Highlanders
of
Canada.
Three
years
later,
she
transferred
to the
Royal
Regiment
of
Canada.
During
the
twelve
years
she
spent
with
this
guard
unit,
she rose
to the
rank of
Warrant
Officer
qualifying
as a
Master
Warrant
Officer.

Lynda
Bowen
was a
member
of the
Hamilton
Police
Service
for 30
years
retiring
December
31st,
2002
with the
rank of
Superintendent.
She is
the
third
generation
of her
family
to serve
as a
police
officer
with the
Hamilton
Service
beginning
in 1920.
Her
husband,
David,
has also
retired
from the
Hamilton
Police
Service.
Her
first
assignment
in 1972
was to
the
Mountain
Station
as a
station
duty
officer.
At that
time the
female
prisoners
were
held in
the
cells at
that
Station.

Lahey,

Police
Beth has
endured
a
diverse
and
rewarding
career
with the
Sarnia
Police
Service
since
April
1980.
She has
been
involved
in many
different
portfolios
within
her
police
service
in areas
such as:
General
patrol,
Youth
Bureau,
Intelligence,
Morality,
Detective
Bureau
and is
currently
in
Community
Service.
Beth has
worn
many
hats in
her
career
including
areas of
specialization
in areas
such as
Coach
Officer,
DNA
sampler
and Sex
Offender
Registry.
